General Information to Teacher Applicant
The Universal American School in Dubai (UAS) is an internationally accredited IB World School providing a challenging, inquiry-based American and international education to a student body of 1200, representing 75 nationalities. UAS is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools as well as by the Council of International Schools. UAS offers the Primary Years Program (PYP) in the elementary school, the Conceptual Curriculum (CC) in grades 7-10, and the IB Diploma Program in Grades 11 and 12.
UAS is managed by Educational Services Overseas Limited (ESOL), a leading school management organization that operates some of the region’s finest international schools.
UAS seeks teachers who are passionate about teaching, have the appropriate credentials (B.A. minimum, advanced degree preferred), and ideally will have 3 or more years of experience including teaching in international schools. Teachers with experience is required or highly desirable for certain assignments at elementary level (PYP and at secondary level (IBDP). Above all we seek colleagues who are effective and helpful co-workers ready to commit fully to the expectations and values of UAS, including involvement in after-school activities and in school community service and events
