Thank you for your interest in admission to Universal American School.

We welcome prospective students and parents to visit our campus and view the facilities and resources available. The campus tours take place in the mornings, 3 times per week. The duration of the tour is approximately 45-60 minutes.

Admission staff members are on campus to conduct tours and answer your questions. We recommend visitors to book in advance and view the campus.

FAQs

What are your school timings?

Our preKG and KGI students have day that stars at 7:55am and ends at 12:45pm. The day for KG2 to grade 5 student runs from 7:55am to 3:10pm. Students in grades 6-12, their day runs 7:45amd to 3:10pm.

When do you open for next year’s registration?

It is usually at the end of October and we start interviews and testing in January. Testing and interviews will stop being scheduled once all places are filled.

Is UAS accredited?

Yes, we are accredited by the Middles States Association of College and College and Schools (MSA), the Council of International Schools (CIS) and have the authorization to teach the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) and the Diploma Programme (IB DP).

How diverse is your student body?

There are over 75 different nationalities represented at UAS.

Is grade 6 part of elementary school or middles school?

As of September 2015, the school will be in the following sections: elementary (preKG to grade 5), middle school (grades 6-7-8) and high school (grades 9-12)

What is your regular school calendar?

We usually try to start as early as possible in September and end the school in mid-June. You can see the current calendar under ‘Quick Links’

Do I need to pay for after-school activities?

Some teacher led after-school activities are free and other activities that require an outside provider will have a small fee. Signing up for after-school activities is encouraged but optional.

When do you start teaching Arabic and is it compulsory?

Arabic is compulsory for all students and is taught from KG2 onwards.
