The UAS High School prides itself on high academic standards, strong relationships between the students and teachers, and an extensive athletic and co-curricular program. We believe in developing the whole child. Our graduates attend competitive universities around the world. Our IB scores are consistently above the world average.
The High School offers a rigorous, college-preparatory program that is aligned to the AERO Common Core Plus standards in Grades 9 and 10 and the learning outcomes provided by the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in Grades 11 and 12.
Beginning in the 2017-2018 calendar year, UAS will be adding an American High School Diploma track for those students who wish to choose an alternative pathway from that of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. This additional option will be available for the new grade 9 cohort beginning in September 2017.
Lessons in the high school are student focused and provide students with opportunities to develop as independent critical-thinkers, innovative problem-solvers and life-long learners. Week Without Walls, Community Action and Service programs help students to develop an awareness and understanding of global issues in order to prepare them for their roles as responsible global citizens.
