A few things….
It's been a busy, busy week at UAS. Forgive me, but I have a few items of note that I need to share!
As you may have heard the KHDA Dubai School Inspection Bureau annual visit will be from March 6 through March 9. The school has been preparing for this visit all year, but as expected our focus will be in final preparations for the visit in…
Week Without Walls—The Parental Experience
This week, like many of you, I dropped my child off for her week without walls trip. It was a bit of a humbling experience I must admit.
I’ve been an educator for 30 years, and have had my children take part in a wide variety of overnight and weeklong camp experiences over the years.
I have participated in outdoor and camping experiences …
Dispatch from America…. January 2017
We live in interesting times.
The quote “May you live in interesting times” has been thrown out as a dismissive curse on many an occasion throughout history. The quote, which was falsely assigned as a Chinese curse, assigns to the receiver hopes of bad luck and difficulty. My nation, unfortunately, is in such turmoil ………
1670… an auspicious number!

Because of these requirements the administration and the school must remain ready to make changes ……

They bother me.
I, like just about everybody else on the planet have set these goals and have miserably failed to see them through to fruition, let alone the end of February. For instance, I have decided this year to stop drinking so much coffee. I currently only …
UAS- So Much to be Thankful
November and December are the time of year when people from my part world start to gush and ooze about traveling to grandma’s house or giving thanks to all the great gifts bestowed upon us.
Today’s blog post is no different for me.
I am so thankful, so full of gratitude and so humbled by the bounty of what is the UAS community.
In the past …
