The Universal American School offers students a strong academic program driven by the schools mission and core values. At UAS we strive to build confident, empowered, and globally aware citizens of the world.
Learning at UAS is based on US and IB standards with high expectations for all students. Our comprehensive curriculum allows for differentiation to meet individual needs in a supportive learning environment. The curricular framework for Pre-K to Grade 5 is the IB Primary Years Progam (PYP) followed by a conceptually-based curriculum in Grades 6-10 which prepares students for the rigorous IB Diploma Program in Grades 11 and 12. Further details are given in the Elementary and Secondary sections.
Our faculty is diverse and professional. The expertise of our teachers is reflected in the planning and assessing of standards-based units of study that incorporate innovative, creative, and inquiry-based learning.
The school's full Pre-KG through Grade 12 program leads to a diploma with credit and course requirements set by the school and the internationally recognized IB Diploma Program. A wide range of course choices within both programs is available to students. Arabic is taught in KG -12 while Spanish and French are offered in Grades 6-12.
