Library

The library is our whole school library that encourages children to be enthusiastic readers, critical thinkers, skilful researchers and also provides a peaceful environment for our academicians. The library  staff is dedicated to promoting lifelong literacy and instilling a love of reading in our students. There is a wide variety of genres available at the library for every student’s interest and curiosity. We also organize book fairs, author visits, field trips, and participate in events and competitions with the Emirates Festival of Literature.

Elementary students visit the library weekly. In Early Childhood (PreK & KG1) students can check out one book at a time, grades KG2 & 1 are encouraged to borrow two books; fiction and nonfiction, while grades 2 to 5 can check out up to 3 books depending on their reading appetite and stamina. The students are also taught various library and reading-related skills such as accessing the school online library catalog, understanding the different genres, research strategies, digital citizenship, and library information skills which are interwoven with the PYP Unit of Inquiry.

The elementary library is open daily from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm (on Fridays we close at 12.00 pm).
