Step Beyond the Classroom
Across the academic year, during term time and school breaks, UAS students take part in carefully planned experiences that allow them to apply what they learn in school to professional, social, and community settings.

Purposeful pathways, not placements
Experiential learning at UAS is supported through a structured approach developed in collaboration with the Al-Futtaim Education Foundation. Students are matched to opportunities based on their interests, strengths, and future goals, ensuring experiences are relevant and meaningful.
Placements may take place within Al-Futtaim–affiliated companies or with external organisations across the wider region.
Each experience is designed to help students understand workplace expectations, professional conduct, and the realities of different career paths.
Real Exposure to Real Industries
For many students, this is their first experience of a professional workplace. | Through these opportunities, students gain first-hand insight into a wide range of sectors, which may include:
Exposure to professional environments helps students understand how organisations operate, how teams work together, and how academic learning connects to real roles and responsibilities. |

Learning Beyond the Timetable
Students also engage in experiences that complement and extend classroom learning, including:
International and off-campus learning opportunities further broaden perspectives, helping students build independence, adaptability, and cultural awareness. | Experiential learning at UAS is not limited to internships alone. |
