Our Community

Administrators, teachers, and staff play an indispensable role in students’ lives, and families are encouraged to be part of the day-to-day rhythm too. When parents show up, volunteer, or simply join in for a school event, students feel it.

School feels connected. It feels like one team.

Community Events That Bring Everyone Together

Over the years, our calendar has grown around community moments that students and families genuinely look forward to.

  • Parent Coffee Mornings
  • Spirit Week
  • International Day
  • Union Day
  • Flag Day
These have become familiar fixtures because they do what they’re meant to do: bring people together.

These events create regular opportunities for students, staff, and families to connect, celebrate, and take part in school life together.

Student Groups That Build Belonging

Community is also built through student-led groups where students find their people and contribute to something bigger than themselves. These include:

  • Model United Nations (MUN)
  • National Honor Society
  • Emirati Committee

These groups create leadership opportunities, shared purpose, and a stronger sense of belonging across the school.

School Spirit Through Sport

Community is not only built through events and performances.

It is also built on sidelines and in gym spaces, where students represent their teams, support each other, and take pride in being part of something shared.

UAS has 30+ sports teams, which means there is always something happening and always a chance to support, participate, or cheer others on.
