Competitive Sport and School Teams
From early years through to high school, students are encouraged to move, compete, and build confidence through physical activity. The focus is on participation, teamwork, and personal development, alongside opportunities for competitive sport. | Sport at UAS is led by a strong, specialist team. |
For students who want to compete, UAS offers Scorpion Squads, giving students the opportunity to represent the school in organised competitions. These teams help build school spirit, leadership, and a strong sense of belonging.
UAS athletes also compete beyond the school level.
Over the years, students have gone on to take part in international competitions, while others have represented their home countries at national level. These opportunities reflect the strength of the school’s athletics programme and the pathways available for students who wish to pursue sport alongside their academic commitments.
UAS fields more than 30 sports teams, creating regular opportunities for students to train, compete, and support one another across age groups.
Facilities That Support Performance and Participation
The campus includes a flood-lit playing field with a full athletics running track, allowing students to train both during the day and in the evening. The space is used year-round, whether during the hotter months or in the cooler winter season. Most importantly, it is a shared facility for our students and the wider school community, supporting regular training, school sport, and community use.
These facilities are used during the school day, for team training, and for after-school activities. | Athletics at UAS are supported by a range of on-campus facilities that allow students to train, compete, and stay active throughout the year. These include:

Sport at UAS is part of our school culture. Students support their teams, take pride in representing the school, and learn important life skills through training and competition.
