Elementary School Principal – Ms. Rula Barghouthi
Ms. Barghouthi holds a BA in Education from Bethlehem University and has more than two decades of experience working with the US curriculum and IB schools. She is a firm believer in the perfect match between the student-centric philosophy of an American education and the inquiry based, holistic philosophy of the IB PYP. She also shares the UAS passion for purposeful schooling and lifelong learning Throughout her career, Ms. Barghouthi has been a PYP Coordinator, Head of Curriculum/Deputy Head of Arabic, Assistant Principal, and a Middle School Principal in an American curriculum school. Ms. Barghouthi has already been in Dubai for 13 years.
Ms. Barghouthi is a qualified IB PYP Workshop Leader and has led one of her former schools through the IB authorization process. She is also serving as an educational consultant for the Interactive Knowledge Center, Jordan since 2010 and is a certified Tribal Schools Inspector.
