In PreK and KG1 students start at 7.45 am and end at 12.45 pm. We offer an option for an extended day until 3.15 pm.
From KG2 to Grade 5 students start at 7.45 am and end at 3.15 pm.
From Grade 6 to Grade 12 students start at 7.45 am and end at 3.20 pm.

Yes, we are accredited to teach the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) in Elementary School, and the IB Diploma Prograpmme (IBDP) in Grades 11 and 12. UAS is also accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA), as well as the Council of International Schools (CIS).
At Universal American School, we offer the IB Primary Years Programme in Elementary School. In High School our students have the option to follow either the IB Diploma Programme or AP path.
Universal American School prides itself on offering students a variety of personalized learning pathways. Beginning in elementary school and culminating at graduation, students receive academically rigorous instruction designed to meet their individual needs and interests. At UAS, English is the main language of instruction. Arabic is taught as of KG1. French and Spanish are offered as of Grade 6.
Please see the below table for our age requirements for enrollment at UAS. UAS follows the KHDA requirements for students entering PreK*-Grade 1*. A student entering these grades will need to have turned the age listed by August 31 of that current academic year to enroll.
All other students enrolling in grade 2 and up must have turned the age listed next to the grade in the below table and have a corresponding transfer certificate from their previous school.
